A queue-rescue utility for Mac

Move the print job. Not the document.

When a job is stranded on the wrong, paused, or offline printer, move that existing job to another printer already configured on your Mac—without reopening the source file.

Three deliberate actions

From stranded to the right queue.

Print Mover stays out of the way until the local scheduler still has a job you can rescue.

01

Find the unfinished job

Print Mover watches the queues already configured on your Mac and calls out held, stopped, offline, or unusually delayed jobs.

02

Choose another printer

Select an eligible destination on the same Mac. You see its current state before anything moves.

03

Move, then verify

After you confirm, Print Mover asks the local scheduler to move the existing job and reports only what the scheduler confirms.

A deliberately narrow tool

It moves queue ownership. It does not become your printer.

Print Mover uses the move operation already available in the local CUPS scheduler. It is not a virtual printer, driver, cloud print service, or document recovery system.

What it does

  • Shows your unfinished local print jobs
  • Moves one job or all eligible jobs from a queue
  • Preserves the scheduler’s existing job instead of making an app-level copy
  • Reports moved, not moved, and unknown outcomes separately

What it does not do

  • Read or upload the document being printed
  • Recover jobs already completed or purged
  • Move another person’s jobs
  • Silently choose a different printer

Compatibility boundary

Built for the print system already on your Mac.
